Film Screening
Women in Film Arizona (WIFAZ), founded in 1995, is a non-profit organization of professional women whose purpose is to promote the achievements and improve the status of women in the entertainment and communications industry through education, training, networking, and advocacy.

WIFAZ is an independent entity affiliated with chapters throughout North America, Great Britain, Europe, and Australia. WIFAZ is a part of Women In Film & Television International (WIFTI) as of October 1, 2003.

WIFAZ works to provide information to its members on the creative, business, and technical aspects of the industry. Monthly meetings feature distinguished speakers on current issues, as well as lively panel dicussions.

Women in Film Arizona is involded in a wide range of activities including professional development workshops, screenings, advocacy, and industry initiatives.
  • Women in Film Arizona is a professional non-profit organization which seeks to recognize, develop, and actively promote the unique visions of women in the field of communications.
  • Guided by a Board of Directors, WIFAZ serves as a collective voice of support and an innovative network of educational and practical services for its members.
  • Support and education is offered through a variety of ways including serminars and workshops, public service announcements concerning women and family issues, scholarships to students in film and television attending an accreditied Arizona College or University and grants to aspiring women writers, directors, or producers.
  • PROFESSIONAL members must have a minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience in the entertainment industry.
  • ASSOCIATE membership is available to those with up to 3 years, but no less than 1 year relevant professional or academic experience.
  • Non-voting STUDENT and CORPORATE memberships are offered, as well as the FRIENDS of Women in Film for those individuals who support our vision and are not professionally qualified. Please CLICK HERE for more information and a membership application.
